I have stayed at many Hong Kong hotels in the past but I found that I like the Kowloon Hotel the best. They have a wide variety of dining options and great food menus for adults and children. This is the first hotel that I have ever stayed at that actually do a massage right in your room.

They offered free Wi-Fi which was great because I was traveling for work and had lots of work to do. This made it easier to get my work done in the relaxation of my own room. I did not have to get my dry cleaning done because they offer the service in-house right at the hotel. When I have to travel to this location I always know which hotel I am going to stay at.

It all started when my cousin Julia came to visit for a long weekend. Little did I know that her visiting would spawn a revolution of sorts. She had just been on a plane for three hours and was craving a hot shower to freshen up and relax. I handed her a towel and directed her to the main shower. I had just turned my back when I heard a scream. “That is one of the ugliest most outdated Bolton bathrooms I have ever seen!” she exclaimed. Truthfully, I was a bit offended by such a statement, but I politely asked her what was so bad about it. She pulled me by the arm and began to enlighten me on the new ways of bathroom technology and design. This conversation has spurred me to renovate my bathroom not only for my future guests, but for myself as well.

Cleaning the air

If you’re concerned about the quality of air in your city, why not do what some of us are doing? Creating vertical gardens that not only beautify the boring walls around us, but also help to clean the air.

I created a vertical garden on the side of my home using nothing more than a wooden frame, some plastic sheeting and plants to cover the wall. Once the plants attach themselves to the wall they grow quickly, spreading out up and over the wall and creating a gorgeous live mural.

I used plants that naturally grow quite thick and with dark green, red and purple leaves. I ended up with a vibrantly colored wall that’s so much prettier than the gray concrete I used to have. Plus, as the plants grew they began to clean the air, creating a healthier environment for me, my family and the people around us.
